Oh, these little cranberry meatballs are so yummy. with a hint of ginger in the meatballs really complements the sweet and sour cranberry sauce. for an additional kick use chinese mustard.
They go fast I figure about 5 to 8 per person to be on the safe side this recipe serves about 8
2 pounds lean ground beef
1 pound ground pork
1/2 cup grated onion
1 beaten egg
1 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger
2 teaspoons salt
dash pepper
1 can cranberry sauce
1 tablespoon muster
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 cup apple juice or apple cider
Combine the ground meat, bread crumbs, , onion, egg, and seasonings in a large bowl, mixing well.
Form mixture into small, walnut-sized balls.
put balls on a greased sheet pan bake 20 minutes at 375 or until browned and cooked through.
place cooked meatballs in slow cooker.
combined sauce in a bowl and stir until combined there maybe lumps that is OK
cover meat balls dont stir cover and cook on high 30 minutes then turn to wham
Serve right out the slow cooker if it that kind of gathering. For a formal celebration you can tray the balls with picks
